Prayer & The Sacraments

St. Pius V Catholic School Mass
  • As Catholics, we believe that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of prayer and worship. In the Mass, Jesus Christ, through the ministry of the priest, offers himself to the Father in an unbloody manner, under the appearance of bread and wine. The sacrifice which is made during the Mass is the same sacrifice which was made on Calvary, because the principal priest and victim are both the same: Jesus Christ.

This means that when we attend Mass, we receive the grace merited by the passion of Jesus Christ on calvary, while also exercising our baptismal priesthood to offer our own work, suffering, and lives in union with Christ’s own perfect sacrifice.

  • On Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm, St. Pius V holds a Holy Hour with Eucharistic Adoration, often accompanied by music, scripture readings, or lectio divina.

Confessions are available during this time.

  • The Holy Rosary is prayed at St. Pius V before daily mass Monday through Friday, and on Saturday Mornings at 9:00am.

  • Contact the parish office.

Baptisms are held Sunday afternoons on a monthly basis.

Weddings must be scheduled at least 6 months in advance, according to the policy of the Archdiocese of Boston.

  • If you know someone who needs to receive the sacrament of the sick, or would like a pastoral visit to receive confession, communion, or the blessing of a home, please contact the parish office.
